Extending our capabilities

By | News

We are increasing our alloy portfolio! Just yesterday we received the first samples of the three new aluminium alloys that we are currently studying: Silafont®-36, Castasil®-37 and Magsimal®-58. This marks the beginning of the last stage of our internal project which started back in February and is focused on the study of alternative alloys. After the already finished similation study, our purpose now is to die-cast these alloys and then based on the results to fine-tune our CFD simulation software (Flow 3D). This will allow us to precisely and safely predict the behaviour of these materials during the filling and…

Grupo Geispen acquires last generation CFD simulation software, Flow 3D

By | News

With this acquisition we complete another step towards accomplishing our main goal which can be simply summed up in ‘becoming a leading company in HPDC’. Flow 3D developed by Flow Science, provides a series of detailed insights into crucial HPDC aspects such as filling and solidification while tracking porosity, oxides, entrained air and thermal stresses. This would allow us to quickly and reliably evaluate not only different design options but also what effects could these options can have on the final part performance. Although we have been using simulation tools in the past, now we have created a HPDC simulation station in our facilities….

Benchmarking in HPDC industry

By | News

The benchmarking has become one of the most suitable tools in the die casting industry. Benchmarking allows us to segment our market and has shown promise and utility for the die casting companies. The die casting industry has never produce as much aluminium as it has now. The new vehicles models have produce lots of very large die castings. It is true that there has been a slowdown in the number of sales per employee, but it is mostly attributed to the cost of aluminium. There is a difference between auto and non-auto facilities.
